ABOUT
Andrea Lauer is a New York-based costume/set designer and stylist telling stories through clothing, textiles, and technology from Broadway to the Grammy Awards and has been credited in over fifty national and international productions as well as rock and roll tours, music videos, and award shows. Her diverse skills and out of the box thinking have made her a sought after and renowned designer.
She has styled numerous shoots that can be found in the pages of Vogue, Rolling Stone, Interview, Nylon, Paper and OUT magazine as well as the award-winning documentary series PBS NOVA. Leading musicians and artists have also relied on her to create their looks for the Grammy Awards, Tony Awards, TED Talks (where she even did her own), music tours and other international stages.
She is the Founder and Creative Director of RISEN DIVISION, a fashion brand that celebrates art and innovation of the jumpsuit. She also works as an innovation consultant and merch designer for brands and products across various fields including medicine, sports and science.
Her unique combination of artistic and technical abilities, visionary mindset and own research, that blends fashion with technology has made her the winner of prestigious fellowships like the NYU Future Imagination Research Grant, MIT Director’s Fellow 2017, the Pioneer Works Science Residency 2019, New Lab Artist Residency 2020, and Randi Zuckerberg’s Innovation list of 52 Women.
